Draw tiles from the bag and fill your rack. You and your opponent build a river and the fun of map building begins. Start with a road and connect your town with a ferry crossing. After some turns there is a good chance conflict will begin. Recruit your troops, command your Captains. Defend your territory and conquer your opponent’s. The game is simple in its design concept and execution. But the replay variety and possibilities are endless between the two variables of the tiles that you draw from the bag and the dice combat resolution. No two games will ever be the same. The joy of the game comes from literally discovering the game itself. It takes a long time to master the game and to have any sense of confidence in knowing where tiles are to be played and what kind of combat to be waged.
