📖 About This Game

Based on the 1493 Nuremberg Chronicle by Hartmann Schedel, Burgus is a card game for 2 to 4 players that blends classic trick-taking, fishing, and rummy mechanics with deck-building and engine-building gameplay, all illustrated with the most beautiful medieval woodcuts. Build, Trade, Manage, and Conquer to become the most prosperous Burgus of the Middle Ages in this fast-paced, strategic card game designed by Gaetano Foschini. In Burgus, there are four categories of cards representing medieval society — peasants, military, clergy, and nobles — each interacting in unique ways with the building cards available on the table for all players to acquire and add to their personal decks. As the game progresses, players improve their decks each round in order to play buildings into their Burgus, activating their effects using cards of the same category. This creates powerful combos and strategies, leading to the construction of installations that grant victory points at the end of the game. —description from the publisher
