The Bristol Blenheim was originally developed from a design for a fast civil airliner. At the outbreak of WW2 Blenheims formed the mainstay of the RAF Bomber squadrons fighting over Europe and went on to see action in Africa, Asia and even on the Eastern front. Over four thousand Blenheims were built before it was retired in favour of newer designs.
