📖 About This Game
“The Greatest Motoring Game of Skill Ever Invented”
An antique Car Racing Game dating from the early Twentieth century c.1910’s.
The game plays on a large, two-fold game board and uses six Racing Car pieces and a dice. It is stated that “the cars move by an entirely new method, no dice or mechanical device being employed.” It therefore appears to be an early ancestor of the better known Formula 1 by Waddingtons.
The Racing Circuit depicted on the board has corners marked “Mountjoy” and “Gough”, indicating that it is based on the Phoenix Park Circuit in Dublin, Ireland.
Made in England by H. P. Gibson & Sons, London, later known as Gibsons.
