Aether Reign

Aether Reign is a tactical squad-based game where each player takes control of an asymmetrical alien faction to battle for dominance over Aether. Each player begins by selecting one of several available factions, which they will use to overpower their competitors and prove themselves the most dominant life form in the universe. The board and faction upgrades are randomized every match for a unique experience each game. Players interact by collecting Aether, upgrading their units, fighting other squads, and destroying enemy bases. By entering the Aether Rift, players can bend reality to their faction's needs with powerful distortions and permanent upgrades. With powerful ultimate abilities, the tides of battle can be shifted in a single turn. Each faction has its own special objective, which can be used to bring them closer to victory. The last player with dominance remaining controls the Aether Rift and wins the game. —description from the designer
