📖 About This Game

What do "sun" and "moon" have in common? Maybe the word "sky"? Or perhaps "circle"? In the cooperative party game 5 копеек ("5 Kopecks"), players must quickly fill the gaps in a circle of words to win. The game includes sixty numbered round cards ("coins") that can be written on. At the start, five silver coin cards (numbered 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60/0) are placed in a circle, each labeled with a starting word chosen by the players. Twelve of the remaining gold coin cards are placed face down in the center—these must be correctly positioned in the circle as the game progresses. On your turn, secretly check the number on the top gold coin card, then come up with a word that hints at its correct placement among the existing cards. You’ll need to think fast—the other players have only a short time to agree on where the new card fits based on your clue. As more cards are placed, the gaps between numbers shrink, making it harder to position new cards accurately. The team wins if they correctly place the last card before losing all three of their starting error markers. 5 Kopecks also includes a competitive team variant, as well as alternative co-op modes: a "first error" version (using all gold cards but ending after any mistake) or a longer game (using 18 gold cards).
