📖 About This Game
Übersetzen
VARZ TCG is a tactical trading card game set in a modern world where urban legends come to life. The game is played with custom card decks, a hex-based battlefield map, and tokens used to track life, damage, and positioning. It is primarily designed for two players, though alternate formats allow up to six.
In a standard match, each player brings a Hero, a 30-card Main Deck, a 9-card Skill Deck, and two Portal Decks placed in the opponent’s territory. At the start of the game, players set up the hex-grid battlefield, place their Hero, and position their Portals. Players then take turns drawing cards, summoning spirits known as Spills, casting Commands and Slashes, and moving units across the map.
Each turn focuses on gaining control of territory, defeating enemy Spills, defending your own Portals, and attacking your opponent. Positioning is critical, and many effects are triggered through movement, targeting, or timing. A player can win by either reducing one of the opponent’s two Portal Decks to zero cards, or by bringing the opponent’s Life to zero.
The game features six elemental factions, each with unique mechanics and synergies. As cards are revealed and abilities are activated, the battlefield shifts dramatically, leading to unexpected combos and comebacks. A typical game lasts 20 to 120 minutes, with each match telling a unique tale of spirits and strategy.
The game is scheduled for release in 2025.
The story world behind the game has already been introduced through the live-action drama series VARZ, now publicly released.
